Short Regression Stories
Spanish Dancer
I recalled only fragments during the regression—no clear backstory, just the events leading up to my final moments. I was a young woman in my twenties, sitting at a small desk by an open window in a second-story room. I wore a full skirt cinched at the waist. I sensed I was a dancer, though I didn’t know where I performed or why. The night was hot and heavy, and I felt I was somewhere in the Caribbean—maybe Cuba—or some area with Spanish influence. I looked out on the street, dimly lit by street lamps and glistening from a recent rain. It felt like the early 1900s.
I heard a commotion outside. I rushed downstairs and into the night. The street seemed empty but then someone taller than me—probably a man—grabbed me from behind and slit my throat. I assume I died there, on the sidewalk. I never felt any discomfort or fear; it all happened so quickly.
Scottish Lady of the Manor
In this regression, I saw only a quick vignette but understood the purpose of my life. I was being driven in an open carriage through the countryside on a sunny day. I knew I was the “Lady of the Manor,” though I couldn’t recall what the manor was. I had a covered basket in my lap and several others beside me. I wore a powder blue dress with a bow tied in the back. The skirt was full, the sleeves puffy with long cuffs and rows of buttons. A bonnet with a broad, lace-trimmed brim shaded my face, was tied beneath my chin with a large bow; long ribbons draped gracefully down my chest.
The voluminous dress and large bonnet made movement difficult, but they were “proper” and expected for my station. I felt tired but had a duty to my community—I was delivering baskets of food. Though I didn’t see where I took them or who received them, I knew that was my purpose. I also knew I was in Scotland in the early 1800s.
